Key West Day Seven

We finished the homemade granola cereal we brought with us yesterday, so we had to race to town this morning for breakfast. We chose the Banana Cafe and had a couple wonderful crepes on their rooftop. We then biked over to Hyatt Resort and Spa to spend the day relaxing in the sun. The tide was in when we arrived so we enjoyed the soft waves cooling us from time to time while laying on beach loungers. It was amazing how much the tide changed throughout the course of the day. Overall a fun and peaceful day!!

Tonight was the first night we took a cab to town because we wanted to enjoy the sunset without worrying about biking at dark. We made reservations at the Rooftop Cafe and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. The food and service was outstanding! After dinner, we walked over to the harbor square to watch the sunset. There were so many people that just stopped what they were doing, watched and waited for the sun to disapear from sight. It was amazing how fast the sun fell until it was gone! We wanted to get a couple things at local Key Lime Shoppe so this is where we went next. On the way over we stopped and took a few goofy pictures - enjoy! Then a quick cab ride back to Hyatt.

We travel back home tomorrow, but we may have to break out the bikes and race to breakfast first...

  1. Hi Honey...my favorite photo...you and Nathan at your table at the Rooftop Cafe! So cute of you both!
And Nathan...you are such a goof-ball...love it, love it, love it! I'm sure you had Katie laughing like crazy! I'm surprised she could keep the camera still while taking the pictures!

Love you both more than you know...Mom

  2. Ok, so was this like a second honeymoon??...or just an amazing trip because YOU CAN!?!

You both look absolutely HAPPY and gorgeous!!

(I'm up to 2.5 miles a day --hard to fit in a run with 3 little ones and a hubby that stays at work for 52 hours at a crack. More treadmill time than I prefer, but you've inspired me to get back in shape Katie! YOU LOOK GREAT!)

  3. Amy - it was kind of a second honeymoon. We didn't want to go tropical in October so we opted to wait until May. I am so glad we did...the week was amazing!

Great job on getting up to 2.5 miles a day with 3 little ones. Thanks for the compliment... but remember - I haven't had any kiddos yet...
